Some things to know

  • We keep the group size to a maximum of four dogs each day

  • Our team focusses heavily on group compatibility and our preference is for dogs to come on the same days each week. This assists the development of cohesive groups and improves the day camp experience for all the dogs in our care.

DOGS MUST BE

  • Comfortable around new people and dogs (no bite history)

  • Dogs can be dog-selective and do not HAVE to interact with other dogs as long as it doesn’t stress them out to hear/see/smell dogs and they aren’t afraid of people

  • 5+ months

  • In good physical health – no limping, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea

  • Adequately protected from disease

  • On effective flea control and relatively clean (no muddy dogs, please!)

Private training & group classes bring more success. Take a group class or enroll in private training for best results. Those who do not may find that they don’t know how to speak their dog’s language. This can result in a dog only being able to do skills for us, but not you.

Ask your trainer if your dog might be a fit. They must be comfortable around people and dogs, non-reactive, and capable of settling around other dogs for up to 2 hours after their needs have been met.

Enroll in a trial day. You must be available to come back to support your dog if the transition is too hard for them.

Set training goals with your trainer. Some great examples of appropriate skills for this program are listed below.
