Our policies are designed with direct feedback from three trusted veterinary sources.
Dogs 20 Weeks and Younger
Required to have at least one round of Distemper, Parvo vaccines (DHPP or DAPP) and deworming, preferably administered by a vet, at least 7 days prior to attending any services
Required to have Bordetella vaccine 7 days prior to attending any services
Monthly Prescription Oral Preventatives: Puppies of all ages must be up to date on:
Monthly, veterinarian-prescribed, internal flea/tick preventative
Monthly, veterinarian-prescribed, internal parasite preventative
We recommend a fecal test at 16 weeks of age.
Please do NOT take your puppy to dog parks or non-puppy-specific daycares if attending Puppy Socials or Playschool. We recommend waiting at least five to seven days after bringing your puppy home before attending socials or Playschool.

Dogs 20 Weeks and Older
For all Noble Woof services, dogs are required to be up to date on the following vaccinations:
Distemper, Parvo vaccines (DHPP or DAPP)
Bordetella vaccine, 7 days prior to attending any services
Rabies vaccine by 6 months of age, and remain up to date per Oregon State Law
Monthly Prescription Oral Preventatives: Dogs of all ages must be up to date on:
Monthly, veterinarian-prescribed, internal flea/tick preventative
Monthly, veterinarian-prescribed, internal parasite preventative

Symptoms of Illness
Dogs experiencing diarrhea, or showing symptoms of infectious diseases such as Canine Influenza, Bordetella, and Giardia, are not permitted to attend any services at the Noble Woof Canine Education Center.
Giardia Policy:
If your dog tests positive for Giardia, they must be treated with a 5-day course of Fenbendazole. If their stools are normal following treatment, they may return to class as long as they have an anal bath before entering the facility.
If your puppy still tests positive following the 5-day course, note that a positive test does not mean they have an active infection. Even if testing positive, they may return to class — provided their stools are normal and they have an anal bath before entering the facility.
Bordetella and Canine Influenza
Your dog may return as soon as symptoms have completely subsided.
Warts/Papillomas
Do not bring your dog or puppy to any classes, socials, playschool, or day training services if they have warts around their mouth or eyes. You may continue with private training.
Tapeworm Diagnosis
If your dog tests positive for tapeworm, they must be treated with an approved medication according to CAPC guidelines and be up to date on internal flea and tick medication. Most important: your dog must be up to date on and currently taking internal, monthly flea, tick, and parasite prevention medications, as tapeworms are only infectious to other dogs if fleas are present to complete their life cycle.
Hookworm Diagnosis
If your dog tests positive for Hookworm, they must be treated with an approved medication according to CAPC guidelines and can only return to classes after receiving a negative fecal float. Hookworms are highly contagious and can be transmitted from dog to dog via the fecal-oral route, particularly to puppies with an incomplete immune system. Regardless of the number of treatments, we need to see a negative test result before return.
Worm Prevention
Stay up to date on internal flea, tick, and parasite medications! Most important is that your dog is up to date on and currently taking internal, monthly flea, tick, and parasite prevention medications.
