Have you welcomed an adult dog into your life and want to learn the foundations of training for yourself and your dog? Or have you had your dog since they were a puppy, and want to improve your training, but all the classes around town are for young pups?

Our Adult Dog Foundations Class is for you! The fundamental principles that inform all successful training — no matter the species — are about learning the unique animal in front of you: their body language, how to manage their environment safely and ethically, how to provide appropriate exercise and enrichment for their specific needs and personality, and how to make your teamwork more FUN than you ever thought possible.

What to Expect

Each class is one hour, with up to six dog/guardian teams per class and two trainers. You'll learn how to improve engagement and enhance your relationship with your dog using positive reinforcement training systems — the same principles underlying all great training, so you can better support your dog through all stages of their life with you.

*Please familiarize yourself with our Health Requirements and Terms & Policies before enrolling.

Curriculum Overview

WEEK ONE is a Human-Only Orientation

Please leave your dogs at home or with a trusted friend or family member. In the first class we will talk about common problem behaviors and begin practicing training techniques with each other and potentially a volunteer helper dog.

Video E-Course Included!

As part of your in-person class, you'll also receive access to our e-course, complete with video tutorials — a valuable resource designed specifically to support your training journey.

Important

This class is only appropriate for dogs who are comfortable around other dogs. If your dog struggles with dog-to-dog reactivity, please refer to our Private Training Program to work on these behaviors.

If this class isn't a good fit right now, we'd love to work with you in another capacity — there are so many other ways we can help you reach your training goals!
