We specialize in separation anxiety, isolation distress, and home-alone anxiety, and are passionate about helping both ends of the leash find comfort and freedom.

Does your dog struggle being left alone?

Dog Separation Anxiety Help

Separation anxiety can be a heavy load to bear. Our SAPBC-certified specialist will help carry that load, so you're not alone in the process, and you'll never have to guess if you're doing the training right.

Separation anxiety training requires following a tried-and-true formula, involving a deep understanding of the nuances of dog body language. Working with a certified trainer ensures everything stays on track to make the most progress, without accidentally prolonging your dog's suffering.

What We Do

Our trainers create individualized daily "missions" and provide feedback regularly. Separation anxiety training is a gradual process, and because it's a complex behavior, we work extremely closely with our clients. We require a 6-week minimum commitment, as this is the least amount of time we feel allows us to get a foothold on the behavior and start teaching you how the separation anxiety protocol works.

Separation anxiety training is most effective when done remotely, within your own home, using video technology. You don't have to be tech-savvy to get this part right. We use simple tools like your smartphone, tablet, or laptop, and easy programs like Zoom, to be there with you and your dog during assessment and training sessions. This lets us guide the training protocol no matter where you live, or what hours your work schedule leaves available.

Unlike many training protocols, separation anxiety doesn't require the physical presence of the trainer — in fact, a trainer's presence can actually inhibit progress by changing the normal, everyday circumstances your dog is used to. This is known as the "trainer effect": dogs often seem to be getting better while the trainer is there, only to slip back to anxiety-as-usual once she leaves. With remote training, you get all the trainer support without the trainer effect, meaning you get to keep the results you gain.

What You Will Get

In each session, we will teach you everything you need to become an expert in helping your dog feel comfortable alone. You'll perform training exercises with professional guidance, receive real-time feedback, and get edited video analysis to help you see the more subtle body language signals — building your understanding of how to progress toward a better life for you and your dog.

Also included:

  • Comprehensive training notes

  • Handouts and videos

  • Data tracking guidance

  • 9am–5pm access to your trainer via text/email for troubleshooting, moral support, and cheerleading!

COMPARE OUR Separation Anxiety Packages

Please note:

The size of the package doesn't determine the rate of progress for your dog. Separation anxiety training can take anywhere from six months to a year, depending on many factors. A larger package simply means a longer duration of guidance from your trainer, which translates into more knowledge, mastery, and success implementing the training over time — long after your package is complete.

Please note: All separation anxiety training is done over zoom for the reasons listed above. This is non-negotiable as in-person session will render the training in-effective.

After reviewing your form, we'll contact you with an introduction to your trainer and links to purchase your desired package. We regularly book up to 2–3 months in advance, so we recommend submitting your form and booking sessions as soon as you're ready to get started.
