Jess Niggemann, BSN, RN, IAABC Member, FDM (in progress)

Puppy and Adolescent/Adult Training, Puppy Socialization, Group Classes, Wilderness Adventure Training

Jessica has been working professionally with dogs since 2022. She has experience with puppy training, puppy socialization, adolescent behaviors and developtment, general life skills and manners, reactivity, nose-work for enrichment and sport, and foundations for sport dog training.

Jessica Niggemann was quickly thrown into needing to learn dog training, dog body language, and dog behavior modification after she welcomed home her first ever puppy, a Vizsla, in 2018. Obi was a puppy with big feelings, dysregulation, hyperactivity, anxiety, and medical problems that took a while to figure out.

Jessica had a life-changing journey with her late Obi, helping him rehabilitate and figure out how to feel more comfortable in our human world.

Jess welcomed home her second Vizsla puppy, Yoda, in 2023 and has taken many classes with both of her dogs from a number of well-respected positive reinforcement trainers throughout Portland and online, learning a myriad of techniques to assist dogs that struggle in life.

She particularly loves helping guardians and their dogs figure out how to communicate better and have a healthy and secure relationship. She believes it is important to prioritize and care for both canine and the human guardians' needs and welfare in training. She is committed to studying and utilizing humane and ethical training and teaching method and is excited to be with the Noble Woof team.

When she’s not professionally training dogs, you can find her training her Vizsla in life skills, nose work, agility, rally, and conformation or just having fun hiking with him or frolicking in neighborhood parks. You will also find her enjoying the beautiful outdoors of the PNW while gardening, hiking, bicycling, or camping. She’s also a nurse and plays the violin in a community orchestra.
